My career has been a blend of Art, Photography and Digital Asset Management, where I've embraced both the technical and artistic sides of the industry

I’m Mark Jaress, a seasoned professional in Art, Photography and Digital Asset Management with a rich history of innovation and leadership. My career spans significant roles where I’ve been at the forefront of technology and artistry in digital imaging. At the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, I developed and administered a comprehensive Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, enhancing workflow and image quality for various applications.

Before that, I embraced the entrepreneurial spirit at Altamira, as a founding member, where I developed pioneering Photoshop plug-ins and set industry standards in digital image scaling and as the owner of Zazzu Fine Art Printing, where I applied my knowledge towards fine art reproduction techniques. I was the Technical Lead/Photo Editor at Cool Hunt Inc.

My journey has been fueled by a lifelong passion for the arts and technology, evident from my early days as a Senior Technical Illustrator at Lockheed and as an educator in computer graphics. I’ve received two Eddy Awards for my contributions to Photoshop’s capabilities and my active role in the Los Angeles Digital Imaging Group.
